Between growing up in New York State and settling in Oregon, Mike has been to six continents, moved some tons of dirt for archeology, and once was chased by a monkey. He first started animating as a kid with a borrowed Super 8 camera and some plasticine, going on to work with everything from cutouts to paint-on-glass to Maya. Mike lives in Portland. His award-winning character animation has competed in festivals as far away as Norway, Italy, and China.
